Grand Challenges is unique for a variety of reasons from the academic challenges it offers to all students participating in FYE (First Year Experience) together under one roof in Glenn Residence Hall, located on East Campus.
All of our residents are in the Grand Challenges community love collaborating on their projects in the shared space of Glenn. This incredibly supportive and engaging living environment is invaluable for the living learning community.
Enjoyed your experience in Grand Challenges during your first year? After the first year, upon receiving a lottery assignment from housing, students can choose to live together on the Grand Challenges block of North Avenue Apartments.
To live in the upper-class Grand Challenges LLC block, you will be expected to serve as a mentor to a preassigned group of incoming GC first years, and you will be asked to chaperone one GC event per semester or volunteer to assist in event prep at least once per semester. Only Grand Challenges students are eligible to live in the Grand Challenges North Ave LLC Block, and the process for selection is by Housing lottery.
Grand Challenges students are required to complete the Housing Application process through My Housing. Any roommate selections made through My Housing will also need to be requested via the Grand Challenges housing form that students receive.
